I sewed a simple apron without a pattern!

This was pretty fun!  I sewed this apron from Elsie Flannigan's (A Beautiful Mess Blog) ebook, "Sew With Us".  I'm a complete beginner at sewing but OMG I love it so much!  I'm sure I will slowly but surely get better and better over the next 5 years.  I seriously adore making cute stuff for my house, and cute little skirts and such for myself, with beautiful fabric that I chose myself!  FUN!!!

Nut Brown Fairy Painting

I was in the mood to paint a series on Fairies/Angels.  This is the first painting in that series.  I eventually did 4 in total.  She has gone to a good home, but prints are still available in my online shop: https://society6.com/product/nut-brown-fairy_print#1=45

Home Sweet Home! And happy 38th birthday to me!!!!!

It was so good to be home at last!  It was a looooooong 6 weeks!!!  I'm glad we went, but there's no place like home!
These are photos of my 37th birthday celebrations!
While we were in France, the tomatoes went crazy!!!!  So we were harvesting tomatoes for weeks and weeks!  Our house reeked of tomatoes!  But I'm sure thankful that we had them!!!!

On to Normandy

One night's sleep in Paris, and then onward we go to Normandy...
 A looooooooooooooong car ride!
A charming walk in our old neighborhood in Paris, and then a beautiful little fairy tale walk all alone in the countryside in Normandy.  I loved it!

Moving on to the next part of our journey

A Quick overnight trip to Aurelien's aunt and uncles country house.
At the train station going to visit the border of Switzerland, Germany, and France.
A short one night trip to visit Aurelien's cousin Hugues.
The most beautiful fish pond I've ever seen in my life.
